Ambergris Cay is a luxury resort on a private island. Our work for the property established a resilient, technology-driven microgrid that allows the development to operate on a hybrid energy model, drawing equally from solar power and diesel generation.
The island infrastructure also features a solar farm that offsets its energy consumption. The solar feature is designed to withstand powerful hurricane winds, corrosive salt spray, and high temperatures.
The resort incurred significant annual savings by installing solar panels, helping ensure it remains open to families for years to come.
